AMD has launched their second line-up of their Fiji GPUs with now the regular version of the Fiji GPU called R9 Fury. Reviews has so far been positive. Anandtech is citing almost double-digit performance gains over the GTX 980. And with recent driver improvements from AMD we expect the Fury to get only faster. This has been good news for AMD as they try to gain marketshare against nVidia on the high end. One can only hope that the Fiji GPU sells well along with their recently launched R9 300 series GPUs. Below is a summary of of some Benchmarks from the web including SLI where surprisingly the R9 Fury is beating the 980 Ti SLI.

In Crossfire vs SLI comparison. The R9 Fury Crossfire is beating the more expensive 980 Ti SLI in most cases.

The R9 Fury also offers excellent temperature. Less than the GTX 980 and Ti.

All we can say is bravo to AMD! Not only is this a cutting edge engineering masterpiece with the implementation of HBM technology but it performs excellent at the $500+ price range. It's easily the best $500 graphics card and we would easily recommend this over the 980 or if you are going to go Crossfire and if you are thinking about getting a 980 Ti SLI. This would be a better choice as AMD is beating the 980 Ti SLI or going toe-to-toe with it and it will save you $200!
