We close out this week by giving our award for the best Value GPU of 2015. Last year's winners was the well deseverd GTX 970. When the GTX 970 was launched it totally blew away the price/performance ratio of GPUs. It provided R9 290X performance at $330. We would go as far as to say this was probably one of the price/performance GPUs that nVidia has released in their lifetime given how well it sold. So, this year the tables have slightly turned. This years awards goes to the R9 390. This is because not only does it match the current price of the GTX 970 at $300 it offers slightly better performance than the GTX 970 as shown below:

As one can see from the above graph a stock R9 390 is slightly ahead of the GTX 970 at 1440P and at 4K it pulls ahead by a more significant margin. We reckon this will be the perfect product if you want to spend the least amont to get playable 4K experience using Crossfire. Not only that, this Graphics Card is 4GB more than the GTX 970 which was icing on the cake. Even though R9 390 wasn't as impactful as the GTX 970 when it launched, it offers equal or slightly better performance than the GTX 970 and to top it off it has 4GB RAM more. So, we have no other choice other than to award the R9 390 as 2015's Best Value GPU.

We look forward to great price/performance GPU's for 2016.
