AMD Goes 2 - 0.

As the year comes to a close we look back to see if there are any other consumer grade computer chip that has dethroned AMD's R9 290X and the answer is still no. No consumer grade intel chip that was released this year is more powerful than AMD's offering. nVidia despite having the excellent GTX 980/GTX 970 series of GPUs is still behind AMD in terms of sheer raw computer power. GTX 980 falls short at approximately 5 Teraflops compared to AMD's R9 290X 5.6 Teraflops. And the R9 290X going for as little as $299.0 we think it still a great deal. 

 

So, congratualtions to AMD for still being the Reigning  World Champ for the second year in a row! We are looking forward to a brand new refresh of AMD GPU's with the likes of R9 290X/R9 290.
